International exchange for Korean authors
The ICF operates a variety of events, including
lecture series, seminars, and reading tours
by authors, to showcase Korean literary works
and to promote international cultural exchange.
⊙ Korean
modern literature authors’ tour abroad
The ICF sponsors modern Korean writers in
tours abroad, where they read from their works
and talk with audiences, discussing their
thinking and writing and sharing ideas. This
is a unique people-to-people program that
contributes greatly to the cultural exchange
rubric in the ICF portfolio.

⊙ Other international exchange
In addition to the programs mentioned above, the ICF manages and administers a variety of other
activities in promotion of international exchange and to expand mutual understanding among countries,
to contribute to globalization, and to build on the foundation of the Korean culture abroad. In the year 2000,
ICF provided tuition support for a domestic journalist to complete professional-development and business-management courses at a foreign graduate school.
